Discussion for 21st March
Our discussion leader writes:
"After reading chapters 14 and 19 of the book of Job last week, a few suggested we could look at Yahweh’s response to Job this Monday, 21st of March. I have attached Yahweh’s response from the storm, and descriptions of mighty Behemoth and Leviathan, in chapters 38 to 41, from the translation by Raymond Scheindlin below.
Job desperately wanted to present his case to God, and to ask for justice.
Job 31:35 “If only someone would listen to me! Look, I will sign my name to my defense. Let the Almighty answer me. Let my accuser write out the charges against me.”
What do we make of Yahweh’s response in chapters 38 to 41?
