Image
Our discussion on Monday 31st January will be led by Ben Hoi. Is the Bible any use in helping us to deal with weight loss (and delayed gratification/self-control in general)? January is a time when lots of people set new goals and resolutions for the year. Achieving goals involve focus and emotional management. Can the bible help? We will study and examine - Genesis 25:29-34. [1] [2] [3] - 1 Corinthians 10:31 Please bring your own verses to the discussion, you might like to consider some of the verses in the link below but feel free to suggest others. https://www.openbible.info/topics/losing_weight Join Zoom Meeting https://us06web.zoom.us/j/82378042367 ... Discussion for Monday 24th January - new topic, new link

ALL CHANGE! Our discussion tonight will now be led by Francis Elliot-Wright, with a different topic and a different zoom link (see in the comments for the zoom link) Is the Bible any use in helping us to deal with conflict in church? The Bible makes it clear that there has always been conflict in the church, and it has quite a bit to say about how we should address this. Some of the biblical advice is specifically aimed at situations of conflict in churches, other advice is about conflict in general. What does the Bible have to say about conflict in church? Is it good advice? What is helpful, and does it give any bad advice? What could we take from the Bible to help us deal with conflict in Unitarian & Free Christian churches? There's no set text. Please bring your own verses to the discussion, you might like to consider some of the verses in the link below but feel free to suggest others. https://www.openbible.info/topics/resolving_conflict Topic: Unitarian & Free Christia
