Discussion for March 1st

This discussion will be led by Peter Godfrey on the theme of forgiveness. He writes:

Forgiveness is central to the teaching of Jesus. Why was this so? How does his teaching link with the teaching in the Hebrew Bible? Does Jesus add anything or have a different emphasis?

How does Jesus’s teaching on forgiveness make a difference to our lives? Is it possible for us to forgive several times? What has it meant in our life experiences to have forgiven and to have been forgiven?

There will be two readings and that we have two group sessions

The readings Peter suggests are: Matthew 6: 7-13 and Matthew 18: 21-35
