Discussion for 2nd November

Topic for discussion at 6.30 pm on Monday 2nd November: Mark 8:22-25. led by Bill Darlison.

The healing of the blind man.
'I see men, but they look like walking trees'
This is one of my favourite passages in the whole Bible!
Points to consider:
a. Why do you think this miracle is only recorded by Mark? Why do Matthew and Luke not report it?
b. What (if any) is the significance of this 'two-stage' healing?
c. How is this passage related to earlier passages - particularly Mk 7 24-47 (The Gentile Woman and 'Be Open!')
d. Does this story have any relevance today?
