Discussion for 26th November

Our next bible discussion on Monday 26th October @ 6.30pm will be a follow-up to the session where we explored our responses to ‘The Lord’s Prayer’. This time we’ll consider the well-known words: “Ask, and it will be given unto to you; seek and you shall find; knock, and the door will be opened unto you” and 2 parables of Jesus on the need for perseverance in prayer:

Luke ch.11 v. 5-13, and Luke ch. 18 v. 1-8
A few questions you might like to consider in advance:

Do you pray? Why/why not?
What do you make of petitionary / intercessory prayer?
In your experience does prayer ‘work’? If so, in what way?
What about when prayers go unanswered? How does this impact on your beliefs?
N.B. A follow-up to Natalie’s discussion about women in the early church will be rescheduled in the near future.
Sheena Gabriel is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
